Nothing Missing

“The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” ~C.G. Jung

Undone.
Incomplete.
Something missing.
We think we are pieces of a puzzle,
You and I.

Faith.
Hope.
The last of our expectations.
immersed in the notion of something
that will fulfill us.

We are so intrigued with this idea
of someone
Completing us.
Healing us.
Filling us.

Sometimes I wonder…
Maybe we were born whole,
not nuts and bolts.
not a jigsaw puzzle.
nothing missing.

This is stunning and so inspirational! I love that last stanza. We are born whole indeed, just something we have to realize. I love this ❀❀

Rishika, there is an old saying, “Opposites attract.” But there is also research that says people who are very much alike make happier couples.

Your poem is beautifully written and thought-provoking. I like to think that I don’t have any pieces missing. My significant other and I are remarkably alike and very happy together, but I know I would be very lonely without him. πŸ™‚ Have a great weekend!

Hey Rishika, How’s you?😁😁
We all missed something/ someone and the irony is that in time we don’t realize it but after losing it, we understand worth of the same!
And there u comes with last stanza,
“Sometimes I wonder…
Maybe we were born whole,
not nuts and bolts.
not a jigsaw puzzle.
nothing missing.” So truly said,
